I hope all of you moms had a wonderful Mother’s Day. It was my first Mother’s Day, and it was the best day ever! I woke up to my two favorite boys—Daniel holding Makai in one arm and a plate of warm blueberry muffins (my favorite) in the other. Makai was clutching a homemade Mother’s Day card that Daniel helped him make. Makai held the pen as
Daniel guided the scribbles. It is a sweet memory I will never forget. Just thinking about yesterday morning makes me a little teary.
We had such a great day! After
breakfast, I
opened my Mother’s day presents (Daniel took Makai shopping. He would hold up two things and let Makee pick which one to give me). I loved everythingI got. We also had such a nice day at church. After church, we had dinner with Daniel’s family at Heather and Rob’s house. Then we went to my Uncle Mark and Aunt Sue’s for dinner. I love getting together with the whole fam. Mother’s Day is so much more meaningful to me now. Makai has been such a blessing in my life. I never imagined that I could have such an insane love for one little guy—I can’t even describe it, but if you’re a parent, you know what I’m talking about. Being a mom has changed my entire life. I would do anything for Makai. He is my little miracle, and he has made us so happy.
I’m so grateful for all the mothers in my life. I have been so lucky to have so many exceptional women who do so much for me and have such a positive influence on my life—my mother-in-law, my grandmas, my sister, sisters-in-law, aunts, and most of all, my mom. She is the best mom ever. She has always been such a strong example to me. She has ALWAYS put family first, and she never thinks of herself. She has always encouraged us to do our best, and nothing less. My mom has always been there for me, and she always understands what I am going through. What would I do without her? I love you, Moomers!

Hope you had a wonderful first mothers day!! Your little boy is so cute, he seriously couldn't get any cuter.
I'm glad you had a great Mother's Day. You are one of the best mom's I have ever seen and definitely the BEST aunt any little Isabelle could ask for. Thanks for everything you do for me and Belly...we love you!
Lynds! One day I forsee that we just might be able to catch each other...ughhh! Life gets too busy. I miss you. Your pictures are adorable. I showed your blog to my mom and she wants to take Makai home. She loved him. I hope you had a great anniversary and we have to plan our dinner soon. Loves, Colie
Your Mother's day sounds fantastic! I love that Dan would hold up two shirts and Makai would pick one. That is quite the smart method. Park City looked like fun even though you ended up on the fold out couch :} I am glad you didn't lose Makai out of the stroller shopping. I'd be lying if I said Addy hasn't fallen out a time or two. OOps!
