Daniel is turned 30 this year. Happy birthday, Old Man! He's always told me that when he turns 30, he wants to start wearing loafers without socks with his shorts. But the other day he told me he doesn't quite think he's ready for that step yet. I really wanted to give him a little surprise party to celebrate this milestone, but I just didn't think I could handle it. Thanks to my mom and Whit, they insisted on throwing him a party at my mom's house. It turned out so fun! We just did it with his immediate family and mine, and then a few of his close friends. When we got to my parents' house, it was really just my family and his parents, sister Rash, and his Grandma. But he was surprised! I rarely pull off surprises with him, so I was really excited. People came and went all night, and I think Daniel had a lot of fun. Thanks to everyone who helped with the food and came to support our favorite 30 year old! Love ya Dan.
We also had a weekend of celebrations since Daniel's actual birthday was this weekend. On Friday night, he just wanted to stay home and make BBQ chicken pizza and watch movies. It was so fun just to hang out with our little family! Saturday was Dan's real birthday, and it wasn't much of an eventful day. I can't do too much celebrating while I'm on bedrest! But we went to Whit's to pick up his present, which was rubber floor mats for our new Toyota Highlander--not very exciting, but he was excited about it! Then we just hung out together all day until Dan had to go pick up his family from the airport. When he got back, we went to Spaghetti Factory for dinner and came home to watch movies and hang out. My fam stopped by later to wish the Birthday Boy birthday wishes. I'm sure we'll have more birthday celebrations to report later on! Happy birthday, Danny! I love you so much.
