Happy Mother's Day!

We had a great Mother's Day Weekend. Dan took Friday off for our anniversary, so I was surprised with breakfast in bed. It was the best! I ran an errand and came home to my two boys planting flowers in my pot out front. It was a very cute sight! We didn't do much else for our anniversary because I had a doctor's appointment that ended up being almost four hours long (I'll explain details later). But we were able to go to Lonestar steakhouse for dinner.

On Saturday, we had my family and my mom's side over for a BBQ since they were leaving for Hawaii on Mother's Day. I had been put on "modified" bed rest the day before, so Dan said he didn't want me doing anything. He spent the entire day cleaning the house doing yard work, and preparing food for that night. He's so good to me. Anyway, it was a really fun night. We had Dan's famous garlic burgers and tons of other food. It was a beautiful day. I really love just hanging out in our backyard.
Sunday, I came downstairs to see more Mother's Day surprises! Dan got me an awesome lawn chair that reclines back so I can lay down when I take Makee outside to play. It is going to be great.

We went to Daniel's parents for dinner on Sunday afternoon to celebrate Mother's Day. It was really fun. Heidi and Rash worked really hard to put dinner together, and it was delicious. We had a great time. After dinner, we spent quite a bit of time outside so the boys could play. They have so much fun together! Their Uncle Matt got out his motorcycle to take the boys down the street, and Beck and Nash LOVED it! Makee, however, was scared out of his mind. He didn't want anything to do with it!I feel so blessed that Heavenly Father has entrusted me to be a mother to some of his precious children. Being a mom has been the biggest blessing in my life. I feel like the luckiest mom in the world every time I look at my little boy. I cannot wait to meet these two little twins. I know our lives will only get better after they get here. I'm so grateful to have a husband who loves and respects me as a wife and mother. I'm so grateful for the moms in my life and the blessings they bring into my life. I love my mom so much, and I appreciate everything she has taught me and everything she does for me. As I get older, I only realize more and more how much my mom did and does for us. I couldn't ask for a better (or more fun) mom. I also love my mother-in-law. I am thankful for everything she does for her family. She is a strong woman, and at the same time, she is a quiet example. All the grandmas I have had, including Daniel's grandmas, have been such examples of love, service, and faith. It has been so fun to watch my sister and sister-in-laws become mothers. They are all such wonderful women and mothers in their own ways. Thanks to all the mothers who have had an effect on my life. Happy Mother's Day!
