ALOHA!

So, my family is in Hawaii right now. Dan and I practically planned the whole trip in January. We wanted to plan a fun family trip before Jared left on his mission. We found a sweet house, booked the flights to Maui, and Dan had done a ton of research on what we were going to do and the cost. We were so excited! And then we got a little surprise...TWINS on the way! Which meant for us no Hawaii trip on strict doctor's orders. I have to admit it's been a little depressing knowing the rest of the fam was going when we couldn't. And it's been even harder since they've actually been there. But they are having a blast, and I'm so glad. And I'm even more happy everything has gone as well as it has with my pregnancy. All that is worth missing a trip to Hawaii as long as these babies are doing well! And to make things better, Delta gave us a full refund on our plane tickets. We couldn't believe because our tickets were non-refundable. It was a lot of stress, and they definitely gave us the run-around. But my doctor wrote a letter to Delta, and so did we. It paid off.

Anyway, my whole reason for writing this post is this: For Mother's Day, we bought my mom and my Grandma a Luau at the Hyatt while they were in Hawaii. The luau was last night. When Dan got home from work, he said to stay downstairs while he got dinner ready. When it was finally ready, I came up to see my two boys in their lava-lavas, ready for our own Hawaiian luau. It was the cutest thing ever! Dan picked up Rumbi for us, set seashells on the table, and had Hawaiian music playing. I think I have the sweetest husband ever. Thanks for bringing me a little piece of Hawaii, Danny! You're the best.
