Yes, it is finally Official! Although Whit and Pete have basically been engaged for quite some time, the ring is on her finger. Pete came in early Friday afternoon (luckily before the hurricane hit)! They went hiking on Saturday morning. They hiked all the way up to the top of a mountain, and he got down on one knee. How exciting for them! Her ring is beautiful, and we're so glad things are official. Pete had Whitney worried. She didn't think the ring was coming this trip, so he did a good job fooling her. We're so happy for them. Pete is a great guy. I know he is going to be a great husband to Whit and a great dad to Isabelle. He's getting a couple great girls, too!
While Pete was here, they also celebrated Isabelle's b-day with a shindig at my parent's house. It was a Tinkerbell themed party, and Isabelle was dressed as Tink! She was so adorable. Pete and Whit made pizza benders, which were delicious. Whit was worried about how the cake was going to turn out, but they did such a great job! It was such a fun party, and it was fun to meet some of the Klc clan that we don't see at church. Happy birthday, Itchy!
On Friday night, we went up to the mountains with my family to have campfire dinners while Pete was here. It was a perfect night, and so fun to be up there! Dan made his famous Dutch oven peach cobbler--Oh, man, was that good! It was fun to hang out with the fam. Makee had a great time. I felt like we got to spend a little more time with Pete and get to know him better on this trip. He fits in so well with our family, and we are so glad he is joining our family. I like him more and more the more I hang out with him. Pete took care of Isabelle while Whit went to work, and he is so sweet with her. She just loves him. It's like he has been her Daddy all along. Now Pete is back in Mexico, but we're hoping he'll be back for Thanksgiving!

Once again, another cute cake. I really want a lesson on how to use that fondant stuff.
So happy for Whitney. Those Klc's are a great group of folks.
Yeah! We are so excited for Whitney and Belle (and Pete, too). Thanks again for watching Jack. I really appreciate it :) I am seriously jealous of your time spend outside. I have got to get Jeff out (maybe this weekend).
Tell Whitney congratulations! I am so happy for her. I can't get to her blog so i can't tell her myself. Anyways, Makai looked like he had fun up the canyons!
Congrats to your sister! That cake is great! It is so cute. You guys are turning into great cake-makers. You'd better have some more kids so you have more chances to make them. ;)
I am so retarded! Don't put the other comment on here that I just made. Can you tell that I have been sick and not quite with it. I was thinking that I was on Whitney's blog. You did get a lot of really cute pictures though. It is very exciting that they are official now but it will be hard to watch Whitney and Isabelle go to Mexico. I hope they decide they just need to come back soon!
