Happy Birthday to Our Little Man!

Today is my little boy's first birthday. I cannot believe it! Where did the time go? It is so crazy that a year ago Makee was making his debut into this world at 5lbs. 3 oz. I thought that instead of boring you with pictures you've already seen, I would bore you with pictures you maybe haven't seen (before I entered the blogging world). Get ready for picture overload.Makai came exactly one month before his due date of October 4, 2007. Delivery was a little scary, and it seemed like torture to have to keep him in the NICU for five days, but once we got him home he was a healthy baby boy, and he has been ever since. I couldn't believe the immediate and insane love Daniel and I had for this tiny baby. We had waited for so long for him to come into our lives. Now that I have him, I truly know what my parents meant when they said I will never know how much they love me until I have a child of my own. Man, has it been fun to watch this little man grow! Makee has changed so much in one year. It is amazing to think how quickly a year has flown, and yet it is hard to remember what our lives were like before the Mak. Makai, you have brought us joy and laughter beyond our imagination. I thank my Heavenly Father every day for sending me the most precious little boy on earth. It has been a joy to watch you grow and do new things every day. Nothing means more to us than seeing your huge open-mouth grin, or hearing that contagious little giggle. Makee, we have enjoyed every second being your mom and dad and look forward to celebrating many more birthdays with you! We love you, Squishy! Happy first Birthday.
