This last weekend we had to say good-bye to Whit, Pete, Belly and Burt. They are off on a new adventure in Topeka, Kansas where Pete will be attending law school for the next two years. Everything happened so fast, I can't believe they are already gone. Pete took the LSAT in September with the intent on going to law school next fall. I thought we had another few months with them. But suddenly they decided to apply for schools that started in January. It's only been about three weeks since they knew for sure that they were going to Kansas. It's been a whirlwind with Christmas, and they have been working their tails off getting their house ready to rent and packing. But we had a good holiday season together and got to spend some time together, which was great. We sure are going to miss them. Saying good-bye to Whit was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. I'm not quite sure how I am going to get through these next two years without living to close to them. But we'll make it through! And we'll get to talk every day.

A Sad Good-Bye
Here are some pics we took before they left:
The Mak loves his Uncle PeteWhit and Pete also had to give their puppy Frank away. But he's in a new home with a cute family. Belly keeps asking "Where my puppy doe?"
We're going to miss these four faces like crazy! Good luck at Washburn, Pete! You are going to do a great job. And take good care of my sister and Squishee little Woman and Burty. Hootie, you're my best friend. I'm really going to miss living 7 houses away from you and seeing you all the time. But you guys will be back before you know it. You will do great in Kansas. Enjoy this adventure of a lifetime. We love you!

Sad. Good luck to your sister and brother-in-law in Law School. Hopefully it won't be too long before you guys are back together.
