The Twins

Well, there is a light at the end of the tunnel! I am scheduled for a C-section on July 2 if these little girls don't come before then. That is two weeks from this coming Thursday! I will be 36 weeks and 2 days. We honestly thought they would be here by now, but we're so glad they're not. Things have gone extremely well. The doc said there is a tiny chance I will not have to have a C-section, but we are just planning on it. The smaller baby is head down, but the bigger baby is breach. She said that can cause a lot of complications if I do not have a cesarean.

We went in a couple weeks ago and the babies got measured. The smaller one was 3 lbs. 4 oz, and the bigger one was 3 lbs. 14 oz. This week when we went, the smaller one was 3 lbs. 15 oz, and the bigger one was 4 lbs. 3 oz. So they are pretty close to the same size now, although the doctor said it gets harder to accurately measure them the bigger they get. He thinks they look like they are doing great! I have to go in for non-stress tests twice a week now. I am seeing my doctor once a week now, and I will have one more ultrasound. The non-stress tests have gone so well so far.

I am not going to lie. I am huge, I can't breathe, I have stretch marks beyond horrible, and I constantly have babies kicking my ribs. The top part of my stomach has gone numb, but is still so tender to the touch. I think it's because there are constantly feet kicking me up there. But every time I feel these little girls moving around, I am reminded of the miracles that they are. It is amazing to think of how this pregnancy started. We thought we were in for a long journey. It has definitely been along journey, but it hasn't been nearly as scary as we were told it could be. We have been so blessed. It has been so fun to feel two babies moving around and to see both of them during their ultrasounds. They are constantly kicking each other! Hopefully that is not how they are in the future. So, if things go as planned, July 2 is the big day! We'll keep you posted. Say good-bye to this belly!

Do you dare put a pic up of how bit your tummy is? Or is it just too much to even think about? :)
Don't worry about the c-sec. I loved it. It is bad for four days then you can walk and it will still be bad but I loved it honestly. I'd rather have a cut on my belly where I can tend to it than one down there where I have no clue what is going on.
You can do it man! They really are a blessing with how hard it was to get your little boy here! You better watch out after the twins it sounds like your body is ready to roll :)

Wow, just a couple more weeks if that. Your body was able to keep two babies in better than it was able to keep one! That is pretty funny.
