Showered With PINK

Whit and my mom gave me a little family shower to celebrate the upcoming arrival of our twin girls. It was so fun! We had it at Whit's house. She worked so hard and put so much time into making it nice. We got sooo much stuff! We are definitely almost set now with necessities for double duty. We got double hippo chairs, double crib sheets, double blankets, double bouncers, double clothes and much more times two! Mom and Dad gave us money to buy our cribs with. Daniel's mom Lani made our crib bumpers out of the fabric we are putting in the girls' room. They turned out so cute! That was such a surprise to get those. Thanks to everyone for coming! You might notice a few pictures of boys in the pictures. Yeah, Dan and Makee came for a little bit, and my Dad and Jared crashed the party for the food. It was good food! All the best...chicken salad sandwiches, salads, fruit, eclairs. Mmmm! Too bad I had to watch it since my gestational diabetes has come back. Other than that, things are going great. Last week when we went in, both of the girls were about 2 lbs. each. The doctor said they look great! This pregnancy has gone so much better than we originally were told, and I know we have been so blessed and watched over. Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers and our behave. I keep praying that things go as well as they have. I'm doing all right. Just getting more and more uncomfortable and exhausted. I still feel sick quite often, but I'm just hoping to keep these babies in my tummy a few more weeks. It is becoming more and more real to me that these twins could be making their debut at any moment. I am getting so excited to meet them. It's hard to imagine that we're going to have two babies--plus the Mak Daddy. It's a little overwhelming, but we're so excited. Having a shower got me even more excited for all the froofy pink that awaits with two precious little girls. Thanks Mom and Whit for everything! You're the best.

Whit made me this diaper cake. Isn't it the cutest thing ever? She made the hairbows, burp cloths, and bracelets that were on it. Plus she added tons of other stuff our little girls are going to need. I cannot believe how much time she put into it. Thanks Hoot! I never want to use it. I told her she really needs to go into business now that she's all crafty and stuff. But I guess now that she's having a BOY (yes...the cat's out of the bag...she and Pete are expecting in October!) she might have to think about little boy things too. We can't wait to meet you little Girls!
