What's The Mak Up To?

It's been a very long time since I have done an update on Makai and the new things he is doing. He is about 16 1/2 months right now. He has been officially walking on his own since a little after Thanksgiving. So yes, he beat his mom. I wasn't walking until I was about 16 months, and he was about 15. Phew! He made it. It's been so fun and so hard having him walk. He likes to walk everywhere on his own now, and he is a very independent little man. At his 15 month checkup, he was actually on the charts, unlike last time! We celebrated in our child being in the 10th percentile for weight. He's still small, but he's a growin'! We've taken away the bottle due to his first earache, which was so miserable for the little guy. It was time to say goodbye. The first couple days were so hard! HE would just cry. But now he's doing great with the sippy cup! He's started talking a little. Here are some words he is saying:
"Hi" = "Eye"
"Dad" = "Da"
"Night" = "Ny"
"Bye" = "Buh"
"More" = "Buh"
"Please" = "Buh"
"Ball" = "Buh"
"Bear" = "Buh"
So with the exception of a couple, "Buh" means a whole lot of things. I think he's learned that if he says "Buh?" in a pleasant tone, he can pretty much have whatever he wants. But he's really starting to mimick everything we say and do.
I just took him to the doctor yesterday because he has been coughing and not sleeping at all. He has an earache in his right ear instead of his left, and also RSV. Poor little guy! I swear he's always sick. Other than that, he's just being his busy little self. And that's a lot of fun.

You forgot to put on there that he says poop. Ü And you forgot to put that he is loving his Aunt Whitters more and more every day! (not really)
