I'm sure you can relate to all the fun games we get to play with babies. Our daily schedule consists of playing, eating, playing some more, sleeping, and playing yet some more. Here are some of the things the babies keep me busy with all day long. Caught Ya! This is Mak's favorite game to play while he is sitting in his hippo chair. He will drop every single toy on the floor and look down at them until I pick them up...and then the game starts over. It is so fun!
Chew, chew, slobber! For about a week, Makai has been getting his first tooth. He has always loved putting things in his mouth, but lately he's been gnawing on everything like there's no tomorrow. And as he chews, he drools. I'm sure the chewing feels good on his little gums. He's been pretty good--a little fussier than usual, and his nose is constantly running. But chewing makes him happy. The pulling of the hair is another game the babies love to play. I guess it's only a game to the hair puller. That is why Whit and I both have short hair. It just became too painful. But their favorite hair to pull is each other's. Isabelle loves to pull Makai's hair, and he loves to pull hers. It is very stressful for the hair pull-ee. Along with hair pulling have come nose and ear pullings. Learning to share is already happening at our house. It doesn't matter how many toys there are to choose from, Makee always wants
the one toy Isabelle has. Isabelle does the same thing. She is not interested in a toy until Makai gets it.
They take turns stealing each other's toys. Luckilly, neither of them have hit the stage where they notice too much to the point where they get mad. Both of them are especially fascinated with the TV remote, cell phones, and our home phone--basically anything that is not a toy. Makai is rolling everywhere.
Attempting to crawl has not even crossed his mind. If he wants to get somewhere, he just rolls. Nothing can be left unattended because he is such a busy body. For the last two days, as I am trying to change Isabelle's diaper, Mak manages to roll around and wrap his feet around her head. As you can see, Isabelly does not enjoy this activity.
My days of Makai and Isabelle sitting and playing, content not to move are quickly coming to an end. Isabelle has started getting in position to crawl. She will get up on all fours and try to push herself. If I am anywhere near her, she puts
her hands on my legs and waits for me to stabilize her so she can pull herself up. This is her new favorite game. She squeals with delight when she stands up and looks around for everyone in the room to clap for her. When Makai sees this, he has to try it too. When I pull him up, he grins like the proudest kid in the world. He always makes sure Isabelle is looking at him. The babies can spend hours taking turns having me pull them up. While I'm pulling one up, the other cries until I do it with them. Yes, I kind of know what it is like to have twins.
Our simple games of Peek-A-Boo and tickles are just not enough anymore. Every day is a new adventure!

geez such cute babies! I think it's so fun to see them interacting with each other...figuring out how to be little people!
Looks exactly like my day :) Fun times!
It had been a while since I had checked on your blog and WOW you keep buys! You and Whitters really have the cutest babies.
It was so great to see you guys at the wedding. Makai is SO ADORABLE!!! I'll tell you, the games get more involved as they grow. You'll find you have more creativity than you ever knew. It's all so much fun.
I just love these pictures of Isabelle and Makai together. I have witnessed the hair pulling and it was funny until Isabelle started crying! Parker used to pull my hair all of the time and that is why I finally cut my hair. Now once I cut it, I can't seem to want to grow it long again. It looks nice today for a walk!
Seriously can your little boy get any cuter??? He is seriously adorable!! And....I love that you did the prayer rocks, can't wait to see the post of them.
That's so fun... and it keeps getting more fun with each stage. That's neat they're so close in age and learning and doing the same things.
