Happy Easter

We had a very eventful Easter. I think Makee got to do a total of 5 egg hunts! He thought all the eggs were balls, so he would pick them up and throw them. Since we had so many celebrations, I'll start with the most recent of our Easter parties. Daniel's parents were in Arizona for Easter Sunday for their cousin's wedding, so tonight we had Easter dinner at their house. We had a delicious turkey dinner, and then the little boys got to do an egg hunt in the front yard. They had so much fun. Each of the boys got an Easter basket from Nani and Pappy. After the egg hunt, we had a Rock Band party on the Wii. Chris and Jenna have been on a Wii kick since they discovered it, and they now have a Wii, a Wii Fit, and Rock Band. It was so fun to play. It was most entertaining to watch Daniel's parents. They were hilarious!

The Easter Bunny came to see Makee on Sunday morning. There were little basketball eggs hidden along with other eggs, but he only picked up the eggs that looked like basketball. He has such an obsession with basketball, it is so funny! On Sunday morning, we had Daniel's siblings over for Easter breakfast since his parents were out of town. We had breakfast burritos, cinnamon rolls, and fruit. Daniel was so excited to have everyone over. He had all the eggs hidden for the hunt before anyone even got there. This was the first attempt at an egg hunt not only using plastic eggs, but also hard boiled eggs. Makee found most entertainment in smacking two hard-boiled eggs together. But he had fun! All the boys had fun! It was really fun to get together.

After church on Sunday, we headed up to Grandma Nak's for Easter dinner. She made a delicious rib dinner. The kids had so much fun playing outside. Makee loved playing baseball. It was such a beautiful day! It's always so fun to get together at Gran's. Everyone loves hanging out in the front yard. There was sooo much candy, Makee didn't know what to do with it all. We had to empty his basket about three times. We also had fun decorating cookies with my cousin Cassi. I think Makee had such a fun Easter.

That night, my parents came over to bring Makee his Easter basket. Talk about spoiled! He loves when my parents come over to see him. They got him a bubble blowing lawn mower, which he loves to push around the house. Thanks for all the Easter stuff, Grammy and Grampie!

We started off Easter weekend with a bang at my dad's cousin Alison's house. We go to her house every year the day before Easter. It's fun to get together with all my dad's extended family because we only see them at Easter and Thanksgiving. It seems to rain every year, but this year it stopped just in time for us to be able to hang out and do the egg hunt outside. It was a really fun day.

That night, we decorated Easter eggs. Boy, was that an adventure with a destructive little boy! He was satisfied coloring a cracked egg with a crayon until he discovered the giant mugs full of dye and a big metal spoon. But it was fun! Little Squishy. Hope everyone had a Happy Easter!
