Halloween Festivities and more

Okay, so I know I've been a total blogging slacker lately. Life seems to get more crazy every day! But here are some of the fun things we've been up to. This is an extremely long post. Makee was a little turtle for Halloween! What a little squish. He looked stinkin' cute. We took him around to a few family members the night before Halloween. Makai and Great Grandma Thomas Makee and Pappy Mak Daddy and Aunt Rash Makee with Nani and PappyMakai, Aunt Janette and Uncle Matt On the way home from Matt and Janette's house, Makee bit through a Kit Kat bar. We turned around to look at him, and he grinned an enormous chocolaty grin at us. Stinker!Makee and Aunt Heidi Mak, Great Uncle Spence, Great Aunt Beck, and Cousin Tara Makee and his Great Aunt JoAnn
Luckily, Daniel had Halloween day off. So we went to my "work" (even though I work from hom) to show him to the office. Whit and Jared work there too so we got to see them in their costumes. Makai with Uncle J, Rockstar KingMakee with his Aunt Whitters, Jedi Knight Makee with his Daddy and our friend Bry So we went Trick-or-Treating with Dan's family up at Foothill Village. Our sister-in-law Jenna works at the Little Gym up there, so it was fun to see her. It was so crazy up there with hundreds of little monsters running around, but it was really fun. Our little nephew Nashy was a lion Our other nephew Beckham was a "Talking Hot Dog." So hilarious! But I couldn't get him to pose for a good pic We found a little hill with TONS of leaves, and Makee had a blast playing in them. Then we went to visit my Grandma so she could see the little turtle. After that, we went to my parents for some eats--Chili--a perfect Halloween meal. Of course, Grammy had special Halloween presents for her two favorite grandkids. It was a fun night. Makee with Grampy Oh, Kisses! A Turtle, me, a Pumpkin, and Whit Mak and Uncle J Mak with Aunt Whitters and Uncle Pete A little Turtle with his Grammy Mak Attack with his Grandma and Grandpa Makee with his friends Zoey, Jasmine, and Duncan (Bry and Nat's kids)We couldn't stay long at my parents' house because we had to head home for some neighborhood trick-or-treating! We just took Mak to a few houses. His first Trick-Or-Treating experience! It was so fun to take our little tortoise around. We got home in time for him to show off for a few trick-or-treaters. We had some little girls come to our door, and he squealed and giggled like crazy! What a little showoff. After that, he was all tuckered out. He slept like a rock that night. Halloween is so much more fun with a little man!
Beforethe actual Halloween day, we had plenty of other fun celebrations. We went and checked out Thanksgiving Point with my family, but we didn't want to spend $11 a person to check out the corn maze and other stuff, so we just walked around. It was still fun!Our friends Bry and Nat had their fourth baby, little Jane Christine. We went to see her at the hospital, and she is so adorable! Makee did not quite know what to think of the baby. Some of our friends in the ward (The Scotts) hosted a "Murder Mystery" dinner. It was such a blast. We each were assigned a character and had to dress in costumes to fit the 1940's era. Jason played a confused pilot, and Heather played a nosy journalist. Tiffany played the wealthy perfume heiress, and Mick played an infamous business man. Dave played a black-market dealer/hitman, and played the part of a secret Princess Dan played the character of a dashing General, and I played the part of a high-society seamstress and designer. We totally got Dan's suit coat at DI! It is an authentic military jacket. We had some of the most fun we have ever had. Dan took the prize for having the best French accent. Thanks for the great night, guys! You are all great actors.More Fun: Dan took the Mak on a Daddy/son hike up Little Cottonwood. The colors were beautiful! He also took our precious little boy on his firt lonboard run. Yes, I was nervous. But is was just down the street, and Makee loved it.For mutual, we had a "Kidnapping Mystery" activity, where our bishop was kidnapped, and the kids had to figure out who did it--kind of like Clue. It was so much fun! I played "Peggy Burnside," the favorite ward cook. I was a suspect, but luckily, not the kidnapper. The culprit ended up being "Miss Snow" (aka Cindy Astle), aka the ward flirt. Thankfully, our Bishop was found safe and sound! For another Young Women activity, we had a Halloween Fashion Show. It was awesome! All the girls and leaders dressed up so cute. I was an 80's Rockstar Queen. So hot, eh? Yes, we have had a great Halloween season. Now, bring on the Christmas! It will be so fun this year with our little Cheeser.

I love Makai's turtle costume. I wish I could have seen him in it. I know what you mean about tons of stuff going on lately. It looks like your family did a lot of fun things just like my family did.

Mak is the most handsome little turtle. That picture of the four of us is not very flattering of the little pumpkin. She is a naughty pumpkin!
