Sunday I taught a lesson to my Young Women about preparing to attend the temple. I made these "PREPARE ROCKS" to give to my girls. I have to give credit to Lindsay Ream for sharing the "Prayer Rocks" she made on her blog. They were so cute, and they inspired me to make the Prepare Rocks. (Thanks for sharing, Linds!)
I feel like my lesson went really well, and the girls loved their Prepare Rocks. They were totally easy to make. I
just bought a bag of river rocks from Home Depot and painted them. Then I cut out the letters on my Cricut machine (the Cricut is the best invention of all time) and coated the rocks with some glittery Mod Podge. They were fun and way easy to make. I also wrote this poem to go with the rocks:I am
your Prepare Rock
And this is what I'll do
I'll help you to remember
How important it is to
Prepare at every moment
In all the things you do
To enter in God's temple
And know your Savior too
Please keep me on your dresser
Or put me in your purse
Wherever I'll remind you
To make a good choice first
So when you're filled with choices
That will put you to the test
Please think of your prepare rock
And ask yourself, "WHAT'S BEST?"
Which choice will help to lead me
To the temple of our God?
Which choice will help me hold so tight
Onto the iron rod?
So deep within your heart
Please always keep a prayer
Your Heavenly Father loves you
And wants you to prepare

Those are the cutest rocks ever! I need to get a cricut machine. Jennifer just got one and I tried it with some vinyl lettering to put on my wall and I love it. I want to do tons more. Maybe I would be able to get more scrapbooking done too! One more thing to save money up for.
Those rocks are great. What a fun idea. I am sure your girls love you as their teacher. Hope you are doing well. Our baby comes tomorrow!!!!!
